Hi Craig, your review sounds helpful. I too have done the Grouse Grind a few years back now. We are planning a trip over the Easter long weekend. How long would you say the hike is to that lookout? A mate was saying it only took about 40mins, is that about right? I the climb to the lookout fairly hard? I know the climb down to the beach I've heard is challenging. Thanks for your help. For the Mt Amos climb (not the wineglass bay hike), it took me & my boyfriend 1.5 hour to climb up, granted my boyfriend had to stop a lot to help me up. Agreed that the rocks become very slippery, even in dry conditions (Do not even attempt to do this climb if it rained the night before). And i agree with other TA reviewers that you will need both hands as you climb higher. I wore shorts as it was a very hot day and i ended up with some cuts on my knees (nothing serious). It's pretty windy up there , but the view is VERY REWARDING!!! Good luck :)
